✅Quite honestly, I thought Pound looked a little silly, like it was made for people who like to move but don’t like tough workouts—but it was tougher than I thought. The routine made me feel totally rhythm-less at times, and with the constant, neverending repetitions of lower-body moves, my thighs and butt were on fire; I had to keep pausing to shake out my legs.
✅A killer core sequence in the middle also made my abs burn and had my hip flexors begging for mercy. Pound is essentially a bodyweight workout, but that can be a super-effective way to sculpt muscle and slim down, says Justice: “High-rep training increases your muscular endurance, circulation, and caloric burn.”
✅Listening to music always helps a workout feel a bit easier, but tapping along with the beat in Pound seemed to make the 45 minutes fly by. I couldn’t believe how quickly it was over—or how sore my glutes were the next day.
